Casa fonda
An ambitious project, born from the courage of the clients and their absolute trust in the designers. Only when you have the strength to go beyond the norm can you create truly unique works.
In this case, the finishes and furnishings are reduced to a minimum, to the bare essentials. The rough walls and bricks become unexpected protagonists: no longer simple construction elements, but true aesthetic details that reveal the soul of the project. This is precisely the key that Studio Trasversale was able to grasp and deliver to a young couple determined to revolutionise an old country cottage.
The furnishings, few but extremely well-chosen, contrast with what appears unfinished, completing it in a surprising way. The kitchen, simple in appearance, reveals a universe of details: an island that seems to touch a wall left deliberately imperfect, clean cuts, 45° edges, through grooves and recessed plinths. Nothing is left to chance.
The staircase, clad in Fiemme Tremila wood in the Reale shade, introduces an unexpected warmth that contrasts with the raw construction materials, creating a new and fascinating balance.
Casa Fonda is the result of an act of trust and audacity: daring to amaze.
